Families to Receive Debit Card Funds to Purchase Food While Schools are Closed

The Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) Food Benefits will provide eligible households with a total of approximately $420 per child.

Expensify - Matching SNAP Funds

Expensify has redirected all of their charitable funds to provide immediate support to families on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) during the COVID-19 outbreak. will reimburse families on SNAP benefits to purchase additional essential goods.

Individuals will need to share a receipt (dated March 1, 2020 or after) that includes a summary of SNAP benefits used on the purchase. will reimburse you up to $50 for essential goods and groceries purchased on your SNAP card.

 NYC Food Delivery Service 

The City of New York is providing assistance to New Yorkers during the COVID-19 crisis by delivering meals to those who cannot access food themselves.

This website is intended for individuals and families who meet all of the following criteria as a result of the COVID-19 emergency:

  • No members of the household can go out and get food because they are at increased medical risk or homebound

  • No neighbors or family members can go out and get food for you

  • Do not receive meal assistance from other providers (incl. Meals on Wheels or God's Love We Deliver); and

  • You are unable to afford meal delivery or grocery delivery

SNAP Online

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits can now be used to shop online for fresh produce and groceries. Visit these participating online stores to order your groceries online, and they will deliver to you. Participating stores in the NYC area:

  • Amazon

  • ShopRite

  • Walmart

Important Note: SNAP benefits cannot be used to pay delivery fees. Be sure to confirm an online store delivers to your home address

Visit the ACCESS HRA website to apply for SNAP benefits online.  Eligibility and benefit levels are based on household size, income, assets & other factors.

Free Grocery Delivery

Volunteers will deliver grocery and pharmacy items for free to at-risk community members in Greater New York area and parts of New Jersey.
